Ruthie's Steaks & Seafood in Iowa

"I ate here three times during my business trip. The first time I ordered a sirloin with Parmesan cheese on top and asked for broccoli as a side. The steak was delicious, but Aubrey didn’t bring me a steak knife, and instead of telling me that broccoli wasn’t on the menu, she just brought broccolini. Maybe she didn’t hear me well, it’s ok. The second time I ordered the rack of lamb, and everything was very good. The third time I ordered the sirloin steak with Parmesan cheese again. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as good as the first time. Aubrey served me again, and once more she forgot to bring me a steak knife. This time I had to ask for it. She also said that potatoes will be small, but you can see it in my picture"

"I took my neighbor Al and his family to Ruthies for his 80th birthday celebration. They had never been there before and couldn't say enough good things about the food and service. Amber ( my favorite) waitress took exceptional care of us that evening. We had Prawns, French Onion Soup, 4 sides and each us had a 10oz filet Mignon. Two people in our group were gluten free and they liked that the menu had a * next to gluten free items. They lived the gluten free bread that was made for them. They said they would definitely come back again. I have been there many times and it is my favorite restaurant in the QuadCities. I do wish they would bring back the delicious Orange Creamsicle butter they used to serve in the butter/olive oil tray for the excellent rolls. Another customer mentioned they were from Burlington and hoped they add a Ruthies at the Catfish Bend Casino (recently acquired by Elite Casinos)"

"Enjoyed the crab cake appetizer, filet mignon was perfectly cooked, delicious crab Oscar sauce, and perfectly cooked asparagus. Complementary anniversary dessert was very nice."

"My husband and I chose Ruthie's to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary. The views are amazing, but the food is phenomenal. We enjoyed our service as well and thought everything was out right on time. It's definitely a great place to have a nice meal."

"Just do it. Such a beautiful atmosphere and experience with delicious food and views. Located at the top floor of the casino, the moment you walk through the doors you won’t want to leave. Went for Valentine’s Day and made a reservation a few weeks prior and every single dish was hot and cooked to absolute perfection. When your server asks you about dessert… just do it. Let’s just say the crème brûlée is our newest craving and you’ll be thinking about it for days after :)"

"My steak was delicious. Service was wonderful. Vegetables did seem a tad undercooked, parmesan crusted potatoes were a tad over done. Wife liked scallops, but said lobster bisque lacked flavor. Crab cakes were very good. Restaurant had a very nice ambiance."

"Wow! This place is amazing. We are from the Minneapolis area, visiting Le Claire, and decided to try Ruthie’s. The entire experience was 5 stars. Our server, Amber, is a true professional - and sadly, that’s a rare experience, post Covid. She knew her menu, made good recommendations, and had everything timed perfectly. We started with French Onion soup and it was delicious, lightly herbed, not salty or overbearing beef flavor, the cheese was amazing. Next, fillet mignon (ordered medium), with the house marmalade. My compliments to the chef, it was a perfect medium, tender, juicy, pink, good flavor. Loved the marmalade but it was sweet, which I like, but others may not. It isn’t overbearing, so it doesn’t mask the flavor of the steak, but it is sweet. We shared the fries and they were fries, nothing special. We’ve had better at other steak houses. We’d definitely come here again, even if it’s a 5-hour drive from home, it was that good. And the view! Spectacular, top of the building, floor to ceiling windows, a great place to catch sunset or moonrise."

"Amazing. Filet mignon was perfect. Sides of mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and corn were perfect. Cake was perfect. Only complaint is that the caramel on the salted caramel cheesecake tasted more like salt than caramel. Otherwise, this is the best food I've ever had."
